Josse & Levi came all the way from Oregon to have their photos taken, okay really they were visiting family and decided to have some engagement photos done in a different setting. We dodged the rain and spent some time in downtown Joplin for their session!

James & Alisha | {E-Session}

The sun was shining and they skies were blue, just the day we had hoped for. We have been trying to get this session in for a few months and between crazy schedules and bad weather we are just now getting to it! We are 5 weeks out from the BIG DAY and these two are anxiously looking forward to that day! What is so awesome about James and Alisha is that you can tell they are utterly in love. This time before the wedding is generally stressful for the bride and thus stressful for the groom, but with these two, it is a means to the end… and that end is marriage.

James and Alisha, I look forward to celebrating with you next month! Enjoy your sneak peak!

They met at a chiropractic office, James hurt his back… she was employed there. After many return appointments his back got better but he could not forget about the beautiful woman he met at the office.

and apparently, she never forgot either

and the rest is history!

Beautiful People + Awesome Bike = Great Engagement Session

I met up with Kirsten and Josh at a Madison Coffee and Tea before their engagement session to go over a few things about their Spring 2010 wedding. As we were talking I asked what they were thinking for their engagement session… they threw out a few things and then they mentioned motorcycle. I was so game for that!! Kudos to Kirsten, what an awesome fiancee she is for going for the idea when he brought it up!! She later told me during the summer they spend a lot of time riding and it is something they do together, so what better way to remember that than record it in their engagement photos.

How much better can a man get it, a beautiful wife to be and a sweet bike!

There are so many “spots” in Madison, IN to shoot. We started here and then walked for awhile.

I love how much fun these two have together

Jason + Telitha = Engaged

You know that friend who finishes your sentences, is on the same wavelength, and many times buys the same thing you do… maybe in a different color? That is what Telitha is to me. She is sister I never had. We have been friends for almost 8 years. Not liking each other at first, because in some ways we were a lot alike, but loving each other once we saw one another’s heart.

Jason unexpectedly stepped into Telitha’s life, handsome, friendly and absolutely hilarious (those are all words I am sure have been recounted to me from Telitha). They too are so much alike but really they complement each other well.

Jason and Telitha together smile much, laugh often, and love each other as the Bible says they should.

I was blessed to shoot their engagement session yesterday in OKC. Considering that Telitha is like me, she picked out an awesome location in downtown OKC. As we were driving by the area I was thinking to myself, “this would be an awesome location,” about that time we pulled off the interstate and I was stoked! I will also have the pleasure to pull double duty in September. I get the honor of being a bridesmaid and shooting the wedding.

Jason and Telitha may God continue to bless you as and keep you while we all anxious await your wedding day!

I am working backwards, Sunday evening I had an engagement session with this delightful couple. We were thankful the rain held off and we were able to get in their session.

Engagement sessions are so much fun because people are in love and it shows. With these two it was the way the talked about and to each other. Only knowing each other a short time they listen to each other and conitinue to learn about one another. It is apparent they are excited about being married. Wedding planning is in full force and sounds like it will be a great day for the both of them!

Jon and Stefanie, thank you for letting me spend some time with you and document this stage in your relationship! Best wishes to you both and may God Bless You!

Nearly Seven Years in the Making!

He makes her laugh, she smiles with her eyes.

She bats her beautiful brown eyes, and a smile greets his lips.

He squeezes her tight, she cuddles in close.

She teases him, and the silliness begins.

It might have been cloudy outside with a chance of rain but meeting these two sure brightened my day. Their love for one another shows in their interaction together. It was an honor and joy to shoot their engagement session today! Stay posted for their wedding this October!
