Three Fingers Old!

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Mr W turned the big numero 3 this past week! I enjoyed spending some time with him and his momma tonight at Black Acre Nature Reserve. We roamed around the property stopping off to explore and “find things”. Three is such a fun age, personality is fully developed and the imagination is running wild.  I was told some funny stories about imaginary people and we talked about the colorful bugs we pretended to see in my lens! Mr. W was much more cooperative in giving out smiles than his younger brother that I had a session for a few months a go. It was an honor and a joy to document that he is 3 fingers old!

Probably my favorite… well close to it! I love how much he cracked him self up and the joy on his face is priceless!

This one is for you buddy…

Probably my favorite… sweetness and mischievousness wrapped up in one :)

Beautiful People + Awesome Bike = Great Engagement Session

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

I met up with Kirsten and Josh at a Madison Coffee and Tea before their engagement session to go over a few things about their Spring 2010 wedding. As we were talking I asked what they were thinking for their engagement session… they threw out a few things and then they mentioned motorcycle. I was so game for that!! Kudos to Kirsten, what an awesome fiancee she is for going for the idea when he brought it up!! She later told me during the summer they spend a lot of time riding and it is something they do together, so what better way to remember that than record it in their engagement photos.

How much better can a man get it, a beautiful wife to be and a sweet bike!

There are so many “spots” in Madison, IN to shoot. We started here and then walked for awhile.

I love how much fun these two have together

Below is one of my favorites, when I look at it I smile real big!

Can you believe she told me she wasn’t photogenic?!?!

Josh and Kirsten, it was a pleasure to meet you! Cannot wait for you wedding in the Spring!

Little {Hero}

I joyfully serve as a photographer for The Littles Heroes Project

Taken from their website: The Littlest Heroes Project is a non-profit based organization founded in January 2008, made up of professional photographers nationwide that provide free photo sessions to our nations Littlest Heroes. This is our way of giving back and taking a stand for these children who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. We are here to let them know that they are heroes to many, and to share their inspirational stories and photos with the world.

Tonight I met one of the sweetest kids ever! It all started with a soccer ball and a smile. Seriously, the first thing he said to me was READY, SET, GO as he kicked a soccer ball my way! Mr S was born at 26.5 weighing 2 lbs and 13 ozs. He stayed in the NICU for nearly 6 months. He has had countless surgeries in his short lifetime and currently has a trach do to his dependency on the vent in the NICU. The road for their family has not been an easy one but the sweet smile and joy for life that Mr S offers should remind us all to enjoy each day we are given.  I thoroughly  enjoyed spending sometime with Mr. S and his mom yesterday as we walked around downtown Louisville for their session. Mr S was full of smiles and totally knew how to work it for the camera!  I have so many favorites but really had to narrow it down for the blog! Enjoy your sneak peak!

He discovered his shadow tonight…
